“Equality: Making It Happen” one-day conference
Wednesday 29 June 2016 10 am – 4 pm Resource for London, 356 Holloway Rd, London N7 6PA
This one-day conference is an opportunity to hear from inspirational speakers, explore a range of equality issues and consider what more can be done to reduce prejudice and promote equality in education. Over and above exploring specific issues such as gender, LGBT or disability equality and how these affect pupils/students as well as staff, the event will address ways of promoting equality holistically in schools and other education settings.
The conference will also mark the publication of Equality: Making It Happen – A guide to help schools ensure everyone is safe, included and learning, the “seductively practical” guide developed by CSIE in close collaboration with primary and secondary schools. The new guide has been sponsored by teacher's union NASUWT and is the proud winner of an Innovative Practice Award.
This conference will be of interest to teachers, teaching assistants, pastoral support staff, school leaders, equality champions within and outside schools, local authority or academy chain administrators, parents and governors. It will offer all presenters and delegates an opportunity to network, learn from one another, exchange ideas during workshops and explore possibilities for an online Equality Network.

Finding Resource for London
By London Underground
Take the Piccadilly line to Holloway Road station. On leaving the station, turn left and walk under the railway bridge and along Holloway Road for about five minutes. Resource for London in on the opposite side of the road and can be reached by using the pedestrian crossing.
By Bus
Buses 4, 17, 29, 43, 153, 253, 259, 271, 279 and X43 stop within a short walk of Resource for London. Also there are mobility buses available in the area, these are numbered 920, 921, 923 and 927.
